Tree house update – the kids really don’t play in it, but the squirrels love it!
After thousands of dollars and lots of hours building the big multilevel tree house, the kids don’t really play in it. They play on the monkey bars underneath it, and the rings that they can hang from, and sometimes swing. The squirrels and wasps like it a lot though. Sometimes the neighbor kids use it.
I would have been better off just buying them a cheap swing set and a ball. Yeah, they like to kick and throw balls. They also, like most kids, enjoy cardboard boxes. Shovels too. If I give them each a hand shovel (not a plastic kids one, a real metal one) they can play for at least an hour or longer.
