The Tree House Project Part II

I know, I was done!

The project was a success and everyone was happy. Then somehow, the kids got the impression that I had built the whole thing for them, and they were like, daddy aren’t you going to put a swing on it, what about a slide? I want monkey bars daddy.  Well, kids, why don’t you grab a saw and build your own damn treehouse then?  It can be just like you want it, and I hope you fail. Assholes.

After a couple of days I let them move back into the house.

First we added a rock wall.  Mostly because they didn’t ask for a rock wall.  From the ground to the deck is 9′, so be careful.

Alli is a monkey, so she had to go up first.  She made it fine, but was trying to be Spider-Man later and fell far enough to knock the wind out of her.  Luckily the mulch is piled pretty high.   She makes sure to maintain three, or at least two, points of contact now.  Falling sucks.

Next I added some low voltage lighting, because they didn’t ask for that either.

Story time.

Hung from the deck, there is now a platform for a slide.

Ladder down from deck to slide platform.

There is your damn swings!

Don’t swing too high, or you will smack your face into the monkey bars.

Not everything is safe in this world, so they may as well learn that right here at home.
